The Martin and the Cottonmoon watercolor This surreal painting was inspired after Heath had a reoccurring dream involving the various objects depicted. "The most bizarre aspect of the dream was a mysterious figure staring at me," Heath explains. He believes this dream originated from a still-life display he had earlier intended to paint. The entire painting has been strategically composed to direct the viewer's attention into the glassy stare of the entangled marionette. |
